We are especially looking to fill the following 2 positions as soon as possible:
1. Props Lead Volunteer - Work with our student prop crew to help organize, build & acquire props for the show. Would be ideal if this volunteer could commit to coming in either Tuesday OR Thursday 3:30 - 5:30pm to work with the crew. This position has a small stipend.

***Note: Volunteers who will be working directly with students may need to complete additional paperwork for the CVSD. (See details below)
The following paperwork needs to be filled out for any new Volunteers.
New Volunteers:
Supervised with school staff member - Volunteers will need to complete one form and a copy of photo ID. These forms can be given to EVD or Renee Breault rbreault@cvsdvt.org who will forward forms to Betsey Sessions bsessions@cvsdvt.org at the CVSD Central Office via interoffice mail. There is a one-two day wait period for the electronic background check to clear.
Unsupervised without school staff member - Volunteers will need to complete three forms, get fingerprints, turn in $10 fee (cash or check made out to CVSD) to cover the charge from the VT VCIC and a submit a copy of their photo ID.
Fingerprint form needs to be filled out at the CVSD office.
Fingerprinting is necessary when a Volunteer will be alone with a student/s at any time.
The fingerprint fee is $35 at the Shelburne Police Dept.
We have a list of Police Departments that will do prints besides Shelburne.
Process takes 1/2 hour give or take.

CVSD Drop in hours are Tuesdays 10-2 or Thursdays 9 -12. If those times don't work volunteers can call and set up a time that works with their schedule.
Returning/coming back Volunteers:
If someone volunteered last year and is on the Volunteer list then they can continue volunteering this year with no paperwork required to be filled out. You can check with Renee Breault rbreault@cvsdvt.org if you have questions about being on the list or not.

Dear CVU Theater volunteers,
Our first Saturday rehearsal is coming up on September 26th!
All new volunteers must complete the CVSD background check and fingerprinting process.
If you have volunteered at least once each year at any CVSD school and have gone through a background check and fingerprinting, you do not need to complete the process again.
However, if it has been more than one year since you last volunteered at a CVSD school, you will need to get a new background check and fingerprinting.
If you're not sure whether or not you are cleared as a volunteer, reach out to Renee Breault @ rbreault@cvsdvt.org. There is also a page on our CVU Theatre website that has all the information about volunteering linked here. You can also reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Please make sure you are cleared as a volunteer as soon as possible as background check and fingerprint processing can take up to two weeks.
