Stories can include work experiences, sports, hobbies, clubs, volunteering, even hanging out with friends or family. Always choose what has been meaningful to you.
Story Questions: Use these questions or sentence starters to do the explaining part of your story, where you reflect on what made the experience meaningful.
Alternative Story Challenges: You don't need to always do the default story (as great as those are!). Try these alternative activities grouped under the four elements of story. From personality tests to interest inventories, these activities are designed to give you insight into the kind of person you are, which can help you set goals and explore future opportunities. When you're done, grab an artifact, reflect on the experience, and add it to your portfolio.
Speech-to-text Notepad: There are plenty of ways to do this, including Google Docs or 'voice typing' on your phone, but this is a user-friendly platform that transcribes your words as you speak them. Tell your story, then just copy and paste it into your portfolio. (Just make sure that you say the punctuation as you go!)
