I did not turn in an assignment in on time, can I still get credit?
YES! You can submit late work to earn up to 60% of the original points
I was absent from class, how do I found out what I missed?
First check Google Classroom for any announcements and to access the Daily Agenda which will state what we did the day you were gone. It will also have the Entry Task question that you will also need to answer.
I would like to get my grade up in this class, how do I do that?
Make sure you you do not have any missing assignments, if you do complete those first. Remember that Major Grades are worth 60% of your grade and this includes the Conclusion Questions, so if you are missing any conclusion question assignments do those first because they are worth more points.
If you still are not happy with your grade go back and check to see how you did on your previous assignments. If there are any labs or assignments where you earned a low grade you can redo and fix your assignment and re-turn it in to receive more credit (this does NOT apply to conclusion questions)
I am going to be missing class for an extended period of time, what should I do?
Make sure you let Weisbeck know as soon as you can so that if there is any work that can be provided for you before you leave. If that does not happen make sure you are checking google classroom for announcements and follow along with the daily agenda so know what we are doing in class each day. I will also be providing digital copies of assignments we do in class so you may be able to print and complete those assignments before you return if that is possible.
I have a question but it is not during school hours, what should I do?
You can email Ms. Weisbeck at aweisbeck@cvsd.org and she will return your email within school hours.
I forgot my username or password for myPLTW, what should I do?
You can reset your password on the PLTW site by using your email you used to sign up for the course. Ms. Weisbeck can look up your username and can reset your password but cannot retrieve your password.
How can I find out what assignments I am missing?
Powerschool will be updated by Wednesday of each week so there you will see the most updated information on your grade
I did really bad on an assignment, can I fix the assignment and return it in for credit?
YES! You can make up any assignment or lab that you did not receive a good score on. This does NOT include Conclusion Questions, those you only get one attempt to complete.
I did really bad on a test/quiz, are there retakes?
I do not do retakes but I do allow Test Corrections which is a document you will need to complete and turn in one week after I pass back the test or quiz. For each question you complete a test correction for you will receive half the points back that was missed.
