Hindu Sunday School teaches children from Kindergarten all the way to 9th grade. Students then move on to volunteer as Teachers in Training throughout the rest of high school if interested.
This is the introductory year of Hindu Sunday School. Students are introduced to basic concepts including, but not limited to:

Moral stories from the Panchatantra
Simple Shlokas and Bhajans
Arts & Crafts and basic significances about Hindu Festivals
This is the third year at HSS. In this class, student learn about:
Gods and Goddess in detail

This is the fourth year at HSS. Here, students learn about:
Shiva and his sons, Ganesha and Kartikeya
Trishakthis
Devotees of Vishnu (Dhruva, Prahalad, Gajendra, and Godha)
Mahalakshmi Ashtakam
Various shlokas of Gods and Goddesses
Temples of India (including their architecture and significance). Students conclude this unit by presenting about a specific temple in the common assembly session.

In this class, the students are challenged to analyze the severe complexity of both scriptures and to fully understand the lessons/truths given in them.
This is the eleventh year at HSS. During a student's time as a Leader in Training, he/she learns about the Bhagavad Gita. LITs are able to apply whatever they learn in the classroom by running the HSS annual food drive for the Amazing Grace Food Pantry, which has collected up to a thousand pounds of non-perishable food items to date! LITs also lead many other HSS events, like Kalpavriksha, Divya Pratibha Divas, Diwali, and Holi!
TITs are students who have gone through all eleven years at HSS who now help teachers and administrators with running classes, earning volunteer hours for their time and commitment to our organization.
