What is Medieval Faire?
Medieval Faire is the culminating activity for 7th grade Social Studies classes. Students form manor groups and choose roles to play during the two-day activity. To participate in this activity students must:
- Not have an F in Social Studies
- Make a costume (basic tunic, or something more elaborate if they choose)
- Make accessories as needed (knight, swordbearer, and archer)
- Make a medieval recipe for the banquet (herald, squire, swordbearer and 'others')
- Write and perform a speech (herald)
Students will receive a participation grade for this activity, which includes following all of the directions, contributing to the group's work, and maintaining a positive attitude.
