Mr. Spock and I both like science. We like it alot.

To me, science is the quest for further knowledge.

Science is the impetus to explore the fascinating, complicated, diverse, and complex world around us.

Science provides an avenue for stimulating, thoughtful conversation.

Science provides us with a powerful tool to discover "What if...?"

About Me

Hello Condors!

I am so happy to be your science teacher this year at Canyon Middle School. I started my teaching career in 2002 and I love helping young people discover new things. I've taught all of the middle school grades and hold a single subject teaching credential in Biological Sciences. I earned my B.S. in Biological Science from San Jose State University and my M.S. in Biological Sciences from UC San Diego. I have done a variety of research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland as well as some summer work with the Exploratorium in San Fransisco.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy camping in my 16’ trailer, hiking, craft fairs, and travelling internationally. I also enjoy every version of Star Trek, even the cartoon!
