About Mr. Marchese

Hello!

My name is Dominic Marchese and I am currently entering my 15th year teaching at Canyon.  Actually, it will be my 18th year attending Canyon as I grew up in Castro Valley.  While we are entering an unprecedented school year, I am excited to get back and work with a great group of students.  Canyon has always had great people (both students and staff) that make it such an enjoyable place to be.  During my time teaching at Canyon, I have taught it all (Math 6, 7, 8 and both Accelerated Math 7 and 8 classes).  I know where some pitfalls may lie and I will be here to make the learning process as smooth as possible.

Personally, I am now living in San Ramon with my wife Cyndi Oji-Marchese and our dog Posey (dachshund mix).and Loki (chihuahua mix)  I enjoy taking Posey and Loki for walks, watching my sports teams (Warriors, Giants, Cowboys), and catching up on all things nerdy.  I especially enjoy Marvel Movies, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings.  If you ever want to talk sports or nerdy movies, I am your person!  In addition to all of that, I like spending time in Disneyland (in non pandemic times).  I always love sharing Disneyland stories with other fans.  

I hope to get to know about all students this year!  For those of you that I have had in the past, I am so happy you are in class again.  To those new to my class, welcome in!  Lets make this year the best one yet!
