Welcome to my landing page for my A.P. Chemistry (2nd year course) and Advanced Chemistry (1st year course) classes. 

My name is Kathleen Veety Martin. A mouthful, right!? I go by Kati and you can call me Ms. Veety. I live in Castro Valley with my 3 kids, Abigail, and twins, Jack and Nate, and my husband, Scott. We also have 2 dogs named Ginger and Nellie. 

This is my 8th year teaching at CVHS and my 17th year teaching. I started my career in Maryland outside of Washington D.C. About 10 years ago, we moved to California for my husband's job. 

I am originally from Pennsylvania and went to college at Susquehanna University and graduate school at Penn State. Between college and grad school, I spent a year in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals.  

I love to travel and want to move to Switzerland for a few years and introduce my kids to the culture and language! I am trying to learn how to crochet a blanket. YouTube is my friend. I love to read and am trying to read 25 books this year.  I am addicted to TikTok!

This summer I traveled to Hawaii for my 20th Wedding Anniversary and Pennsylvania to visit family!
