I was absent, what should I do?

If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up the work. 

• If you are at home, you can check the WEEKLY AGENDA on Google Classroom and see if you have the materials you need to complete the homework. 

• When you come back to school, check the folders in the absent bin for the day you were absent. Inside, you will find any handouts you missed 

• You will still receive full credit on assignments if you turn them in by the end of the unit. 

• You are responsible for making up ALL work missed while you were absent. Please see me if you have questions about this.

Does Mrs. Huemoeller accept late work? 

• Late work is accepted until the end of the unit.

Can I get extra credit?

• No.  Your grades communicate how well you have mastered the concepts that we are working on & giving extra credit would create misinformation.  WORKING HARD, PARTICIPATING, AND COMPLETING YOUR ASSIGNMENTS IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS!!

Can I redo or retake an assessment to improve my grade?

• Yes.  You can redo an assessment to show that you've improved your mastery after showing Mrs. H what you've done to prepare for your reassessment.

What are the consequences for misbehaving?

• Individual Reminder--> Conference/Parent Contact --> Referral

• Students may receive consequences for being off-task, being disruptive or disrespectful, tardies, missing work, or inappropriate use of your phone during class. 

Can I access the textbooks online?

• Yes! When you log in to your CVUSD account, you can access your history  textbooks through the "waffle". The English texts are not online, but will be issued to every student so that they have access.
