The staff and students at Cuyahoga Heights Schools use technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning and to provide students with the skills and experiences needed for success and lifelong learning in the 21st Century.
Being a small school district, we are very proud of the technology that we are able to offer. Technology is used from Pre-K through 12th Grade. There are several computer labs in the Elementary School and Middle/High School for student and classroom use. Carts of chromebooks are assigned to grades K-2 and grades 3-12 are on the 1:1 Chromebook Program. Recently, our wireless network was updated to handle the growing need of access in the IoT (Internet of Things).
All teachers and instructional staff received a laptop computer or chromebook. Classrooms are equipped with a projector, document camera, interactive whiteboard and audio system.
Our Media Center provides various electronic resources to assist the students with research. These resources are available for teacher and student use from Pre-K through 12th grade. All students in kindergarten and up have a Google account which gives them access to receive important school email and access educational resources.
We are very proud of the technology offered at Cuyahoga Heights Schools. Our job in the Technology Department is to support the staff and students with technology and assist in integrating it into education. Students are encouraged to visit us in the Technology Learning Center if they need assistance or are having a problem. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments or ways to improve our services.
