Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Welcome to Sierra Hills Education Center! We are excited to have you and your child as a member of our school community, and are eager to celebrate successes as we embark on a new school year.

First, let me tell you a little about myself...

I grew up in Valley Springs and graduated from Calaveras High in 1999. I attended San Joaquin Delta College and have earned degrees at San Francisco State University and University of the Pacific. I served in various capacities in elementary, middle school, and high school grades before my transition to Alternative Education. I have made my home in Valley Springs with my wonderful husband, three children, and three dogs. We enjoy watching and playing sports, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. We feel very fortunate to live in this community.

Our staff is prepared to provide your child with the best education possible. Your role in this mission is critical, and I highly encourage you to become involved in your child’s education, through school volunteering, and/or through communication and contact with your child’s teacher and support staff. Please keep the lines of communication open as much as possible, so we can address issues directly and in a timely manner. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact either your child’s teacher, or myself directly.
