Google Classroom

Dear students and parents,

This year we will be using Google classroom in Language Arts, Social Science and Bridge. Google classroom is a free and secure learning network for teachers, students, and schools. It provides a safe way for us to connect, share content, access and turn in homework, participate in class discussions and receive class information.

Students have already been invited to join this online classroom, and are part of my Google classroom within the cusdk8.org domain.

Accessibility:

Google classroom is accessible on the Internet via any mobile device, and students can access it via their Google drive.

Students using Google classroom will be expected to follow these guidelines:

Students will be required to use appropriate grammar instead of texting language.

All comments/posts should be school appropriate. All school rules and consequences apply.

All comments are moderated by me, to ensure appropriateness, safety, and in order to create the kind of online classroom community where everyone feels comfortable sharing.

Students who violate the guidelines above may face disciplinary action and/or lose commenting privileges.

Parents: Since all posts will be moderated by me, I will filter out any posts that I believe contain content that is not suitable for an educational forum, including personal information, inappropriate comments, or comments with a possibly snarky tone (I will be discussing digital citizenship with students prior to them accessing Google classroom).
