Q: Is there a charge for chaperones?
A: No, there is not a charge for chaperones.
Q: What are the sleeping accommodations for chaperones?
A: Chaperones sleep 2-3 adults to a tent cabin.
Q: Do chaperones ride on the bus with the students?
A: One teacher chaperone rides the bus with the students; the other chaperones get to Yosemite in cars. Chaperones volunteer to drive their own cars, and take other chaperones as passengers.
Q: Will my child be in my hiking group?
A: No, your child will be placed in a different hiking group.

Q: Will I need to have my fingerprints taken and cleared by the district?
A: Yes, cleared fingerprints, a negative TB test, and a completed volunteer agreement form are required. Thea Dalvand will send information about the requirements when you sign up.
Q: Are there any meetings that chaperones are expected to go to?
A: Yes, there will be a chaperone meeting in January. Chaperones will be expected to come to Kennedy and meet with their hiking group one time before the trip. One more chaperone meeting will take place before the trip. This meeting will be mandatory for all chaperones. Logistics of the trip and many details about the week weill be shared. Date TBD.
