This year the club is held virtually.

Math Club starting January - Signup soon

Is your child a Mathlete? Does she or he enjoy working on tricky math problems and loves to participate in contests? If so, please consider signing up your child for the Faria Math Club. This is a parent-run club and will teach students skills for problem-solving. We would use the Math League curriculum as well as Maths Olympiad.

We plan to start with a small number of students in session one. This is first come first serve and it is only for the Faria students. If we get enough number of parent helpers, we plan to increase the capacity of the students who can take part.

Parent-volunteer will have to monitor that students stay on task, and help them if required. Thank you for considering helping us run the club!

Note: Volunteering at the club would require your own device ( other than the one your child is using to log into the maths club ).

Session two sign-ups will open in March 2021 depending on the response and success of the online maths club.

Congratulations

This year we had several virtual math contests including the Math Olympiads and Math League. These contests are available to 4th and 5th-grade students and some of these students also participated in the morning Math Club. There are several contests throughout the year, and we are pleased to announce that our 4th and 5th-grade groups were each awarded the highest team this year! There is a new plaque in our office to celebrate the team’s success.

There were also some individual awards that we would like to recognize and we want to congratulate all of the students that participated this year!

Great Job!
