About the Counseling Program

ASCA National Standards

The Elementary School Counseling Program is delivered through direct and indirect services designed from the American School Counseling National Standards to address the competency domains of student development:

Academic development guide school counseling programs to implement strategies and activities to support and maximize each student’s ability to learn.

Social/Emotional development guide school counseling programs to provide the foundation for personal and social growth as students progress through school and into adulthood.

College/Career guide school counseling programs to provide the foundation for the acquisition of skills, attitudes and knowledge that enable students to make a successful transition from school to the world of work, and from job to job across the life span.

MULTI-TIERED, MULTI-DOMAIN SYSTEM OF SUPPORTS (MTMDSS)

Delivery of the school counseling program reach every child beginning at Tier 1 with core counseling curriculum, Tier 2 with group counseling for students who need more support and Tier 3 for students with intense needs

The counseling program is based on data-informed decision making.
