The library is open on school days from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. Students may use the library during study hall if they meet the guidelines set by the school faculty. Most items are loaned for a three week period. Students are welcome to use the library for research, reading, computer use, or quiet study.
Procedures For Library Use During Study Hall
1. A student's study hall teacher indicates the reason for library use in the attendance Google sheet file. Only 8 students per study hall will be allowed to use the library at a time, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
2. Passes should indicate whether the student should return to study hall or may remain in the library until the end of the hour. In most circumstances, students will not be allowed to leave the library within ten minutes of the close of the period.
3. Passes should specifically indicate what the student should be doing while in the library.
4. Students should check in at the front desk when they enter the library. They should turn in their pass and wait to be electronically signed in. If a student leaves, they should get a pass back to class and be electronically signed out. Study hall teachers have access to the electronic sign-in sheets.
5. It is recommended that students maintain a grade of C or higher in order to use the library unless they have a pass from a teacher to work on a particular assignment.
6. Students with overdue materials or fines are not to use the library until all fines are cleared, or other arrangements have been made.
