Axis 360 E-Book App

Axis 360 gives library and school users the ability to search, browse and discover ebooks and/or digital audiobooks available for lending through their school library. Designed to provide a mobile experience for users of the Axis 360 digital media library, the Axis 360 app lets you sync with your school’s digital collection, allowing you to check out materials in a user interface optimized for your device. The free app allows you to browse, check out and read ebooks or listen to audiobooks in a single app.

Shoutbomb

With the Library’s new Shoutbomb text messaging service, you can use your mobile phone and receive text notices about: holds that are available, items that are due soon, overdue items, and fines. The Library does not charge a fee for this service, but your mobile plan’s regular text-messaging rates apply. All you need is:

  • A mobile phone and wireless service that can send text messages.
  • The barcode number from your Library card (ten digits, Dxxxxxxxxx), and the PIN for your library account. (If you do not know your PIN, you will need to ask the CHS lirbary staff)

Bookmyne:

Now you can search RSA Cat from your Apple or Andriod mobile device. BookMyne is a free app that lets you search the Library, place books on hold, manage your lists, your account ... and lots more.

YALSA's Teen Book Finder

App features include:a homepage featuring three titles from the database, refreshed each day, the ability to search for books by author, title, award/list year, genre, by award, and by booklist , a Find It! button, powered by the OCLC WorldCat Search API, that will show users where to find the book in a nearby library , a Favorites button, to create an individualized booklist , and the ability to share books from the Teen Book Finder on Twitter and Facebook
