Summer Running and Preseason Team Meeting
Summer Running - Website
Although not required, participation in the summer running program is highly recommended.
Program begins on June 15th and ends on July 31st
We will meet in the back circle from 7:00 to 9:15

Communication
The following are the methods of communication that our program uses through Summer Running and Regular Season:
Team Website - This is the main mode of communication.
Google Calendar - This is the place where our camp, practice and meet schedule is hosted.
Google Classroom - An invitation will be sent through classroom and school email.
CUSD Rooms - This is a texting-like app on the CUSD200 phone app. More information to follow as the season starts.
E-Mail List - We will utilize both a team (school email) and parent email list.

Season Practice/Meets
A season calendar is available on our team website. There could be changes that occur over the course of the season. A weekly practice schedule will be posted there as well.
We have practice every day after school. It will usually begin at 2:45 and will usually end by 5:00.
Saturday Practices are expected when we do not have a meet.
Practices will take place on non-school holidays usually in the morning from 7:00 to 9:30 AM.
Practices will be conducted both inside and outside.
Please email Coach Harvey when a practice is going to be missed.
Equipment
The following is a list of equipment that is recommended for the season.
Running Shoes - The coaching staff recommends that each student/athlete have a new pair of running shoes before the season begins. We recommend going to a running specialty store such as Naperville Running Company - Wheaton located at 102 W Front St, Wheaton or Dick Pond Athletics - Carol Stream located at 26W515 St Charles Rd, Carol Stream.
Spikes - They are a must and will make you a faster.
All-Black Spandex or Shorts - Used for all competitions. See here fior examples of spandex and shorts.
Lock - you will need a lock for the locker room. Do not share lockers
Running Watch – Many of our runs are done for time. You do not have to spend a lot of money. Target sells running watches for as little as $20.00.
Legging (Tights) - Black…plain
Long Sleeve - Black…plain
Warm Clothes - Hat/Gloves/Headband/Sweatshirt for after workouts on cooler days.
Water Bottle - YOUR OWN!
