The CHS Marching Maroons Color Guard brings music to life through movement, performance, and school spirit! Led by Head Coach Kiley Scogin and Assistant Coach Leanna Anderson, our team is a dedicated group of performers who love entertaining the crowd while supporting the CHS Marching Maroons Band.
Throughout the football season, you'll see us performing routines during pregame, halftime, on the track duringng stand tunes. We spin flags, ARC-1 rifles, Airblades, and hand flags, and perform fun, high-energy pom routines throughout the game!
Our program is non-competitive, allowing us to focus on learning, growing, performing, and having fun together. We work hard, encourage one another, and strive to put on the best performances possible for our school and community.
No experience? No problem! You don't need any previous color guard or dance experience to join our team. All you need is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a coachable mindset. We'll teach you everything you need to know and help you grow every step of the way.
Being a member of the CHS Marching Maroons Color Guard is about more than learning routines and technique: it's about building confidence, making lifelong friendships, creating unforgettable memories, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
The CHS Winter Guard is where creativity, athleticism, and performance come together! Led by Head Coach Kiley Scogin and Assistant Coach Leanna Anderson, our team continues to grow as we challenge ourselves, learn new skills, and share our passion for the performing arts.
2026 marked the debut season of the CHS Winter Guard, introducing our program to the community with a successful non-competitive performance season. Now, we're excited to take the next step in our journey as we prepare to compete for the very first time in school history during the upcoming season!
Our performers train with flags, ARC-1 rifles, Airblades, hand flags, dance, and expressive movement, combining technique, artistry, and storytelling to create captivating indoor performances.
Whether you've twirled a flag before or are looking for something completely new, Winter Guard is a place where everyone has the opportunity to discover talents they never knew they had. Every rehearsal is filled with learning, laughter, hard work, and the excitement of creating a show from the ground up.
As we enter our first competitive season, we're looking for dedicated students who are ready to make history with us. No experience is necessary just bring your enthusiasm, an open mind, and a willingness to learn. Together, we'll build a program that represents our school with pride and creates memories that will last long after the final performance.
