You have probably already figured it out by now that the colors of the FFA are blue and yellow. You can probably also guess that simply blue and yellow aren't enough for the FFA. There is a meaning behind each color and each color has a specific name.
It's not just blue, it's NATIONAL BLUE. Remember that the FFA is a national organization? So why not dedicate one of the official colors to a nationally recognized color. National Blue comes from the blue color of our American Flag. It pays homage to our entire country and one of the colors represented in our flag. How neat is that?
The second color is not actually yellow at all. As you will learn coming up, corn is grown in all 50 states. That's right -- all 50 of them! Yet again the FFA is dedicating one of its colors to the entire nation. The color again represents unity as well as a reminder to aim and achieve great things. The Olympics saves the gold medal for the top performers. Here you are reminded to aim high!
