Leadership Development Event

While contests fall into two different categories, for simplicity we typically refer to all of them as Career Development Events, or CDEs. Each contest is designed to help you develop a specific set of skills while exploring career interests. Some events you compete as a team while others are individual. Some you compete individually and your scores are combined for a team score. Review the events listed below. Contests are offered at different levels: Section, District, State, and National. Many begin at the section level and occasionally they may skip a level.

Our chapter participates in many CDEs throughout the year. We participate according to member interest. See a CDE that particularly interests you? Let me know! We can look into it and see how our chapter can get involved. Ask any member about their experience with competing. Most will tell you that it is challenging but also rewarding and fun.
