This week in:

Reading—Students will be focusing on author’s point of view. We will read a both nonfiction and fiction to discuss author’s viewpoint. We will also be reviewing synonyms and idioms. Be sure your child is reading 20 minutes every night!

Math—Students have done well with fraction concepts so far. We have a lot more to learn though! Please continue to study multiplication facts at home!

Social Studies– Most students have finished writing a biography on a person of their choice. Ask students what they learned!

Science—We began our unit on animal structures.

Veteran’s Day Essay—The VFW is hosting a contest for students in 4th grade to write an essay. The theme of the essay should be “What makes a hero?” The essays should have the following information:

· All of these need to have student’s name, school, age, grade, VFW Post 5691 and District # 12 on the back (or front cover of essay.

· These are due to the office on March 2nd.
