Men and Women play a round robin with point differential of games to be used as second tiebreaker, after Head to Head outcomes as first tiebreaker. If a 3rd tiebreaker is needed, use a team Last Shot Draw score. This LSD is to be done after each team’s first game. Winning team goes first for the LSD.
Mixed Doubles will play a “best of three” tournament
Eight End Games. Extra end if tied.
“No-Tick” Rule will be in effect.
Hammer for the games to be determined by a single draw shot from one player; after each player on the team throws two practice shots (not required). Throw may be with sweepers. 1st or 2nd practice determined by pregame coin flip. (The Denali Cash Spiel Hammer process).
Point Differential Guidelines.
–maximum pt differential for any one game is 5
–A team concedes a game before the eighth end will have a 5 point differential
–A team that is “run out of rocks” and therefore cannot win the game in the eighth end can graciously shake hands before all stones are thrown. The point differential for this game will be 1 more than the score in the 7th end–not to exceed the 5 point maximum. If a team decides to throw last stones even in a game that can not be won, the opposing team should graciously play out the final stones to determine the final point differential. Team with hammer may elect to throw additional stones in the 8th end even if game "is won"--known forever now as the Devin McDowell rule.
