Welcome to my studio! I'm a Yoga Practitioner and a Certified Personal Trainer. I went to school at San Diego State University and majored in psychology. I also earned my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from SDSU and taught elementary school. I grew up as an athlete playing basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer. As a young adult, I cultivated new interests such as yoga, traveling, mountain biking, hiking and backpacking. I loved all of these layers that I added to my life. What I found with each of these activities was that I was able to be with myself, whether that meant to daydream, be lost in thought, or create mindfulness in a moving meditation.
Life got busier with family and new roles; new rituals and daily activities came into my life. Among all of the activities, it was my yoga practice that I kept returning to. In my yoga practice I found freedom in my breath and movement, being perfectly imperfect in my practice, and I began to take some of these ideas off the mat into my everyday.
Creating space for movement and mindfulness can do amazing things for our physical and mental health. My hope is to continue to stay playful and curious in yoga while also being able to share it with you.
