The School Store Intern plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the brick-and-mortar school store as well as the online store. This internship provides hands-on experience in retail, customer service, merchandising, marketing, inventory management, and basic business operations. Interns will learn practical workplace skills while contributing to a positive and efficient store environment. 

The School Store: School Business Intern plays a key role in supporting the collaboration between the School Store and other school organizations, such as Student Government and Athletic Boosters.  This role will increase the School Store’s ability to support the needs of these other organizations, providing hands-on experience in retail, customer service, merchandising, marketing, inventory management, and basic business operations. Interns will learn practical workplace skills while contributing to a positive and efficient store environment.

The CTE Marketing Intern will support the promotion and communication efforts of the school’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs. This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, digital media, communications, and public relations. The intern will help increase awareness of CTE pathways, student success stories, and upcoming events through creative and strategic marketing efforts. 

The Senior Photography Intern plays an essential role in capturing the spirit, culture, and daily life of our school community. This intern will produce high-quality photographs used across the yearbook, official school marketing materials, and social media platforms. Ideal candidates are creative, responsible, and passionate about visual storytelling. Students will be expected to photograph in-school and out-of-school events.

This IT intern will work in the Chromebook Office under the guidance of the CHS IT Clerk. The internship will support Cumberland High School’s technology department by assisting with some device repair, daily operational tasks, and relaying IT information to the student body. This role provides hands-on experience and customer service in an educational IT environment. 

This opportunity is exclusive to students in our CTE Education pathway. All CTE Educations students pursuing the educational field to work as an instructional assistant in a foundational-level course.  Students are expected to plan, develop and execute instructional lessons in addition to maintaining their own competencies in the content area. Students can select the grade-span of their classroom experience, PreK- High School.

The World Language Internship is available to students who have successfully completed all language courses available at CHS.  Students seeking to further their exposure to language, can do so independently, as an aide in a language classroom. Students will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in creation and delivery of instruction, small group instruction, and tutoring.  Students must have a minimum proficiency of Intermediate High in two of the three modes of communication in language of study
