Elementary Services
Students who are identified as high ability in grades kindergarten-grade 5 will participate in a pull out program with a teacher who has or is seeking their licensure in gifted education. The pull out program has a curriculum that is accelerated, enriched and differentiated to meet the needs of the high ability learner. Curriculum is aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards as well as the NAGC Curriculum and Assessment Standards.
Middle School Services
Students who are identified as high ability in grades 6-8 are placed in cluster groups of students. This cluster grouped classrooms are with a teacher who has additional training in gifted education. The curriculum at the middle school level is accelerated and/or enriched to meet the needs of the high ability learner. These courses are at a high level, faster paced, and deeper in content than the general education course of the same topic would be.
High School Services
Culver Community High School offers honors courses and AP courses. Students who are identified as high ability are encouraged to take these courses that offer enrichment and rigor.
