Pupil Leadership is an integral part of our schools ethos. At the heart of this sits our Pupil Parliament, made of MPPs (Members of Pupil Parliament) who represent their constituents (classes) by meeting once a fortnight when Parliament is in session, to discuss matters important to the school. Any MPP can bring a motion to the meeting for debate. In addition to our MPPs we also have a sitting Prime Minister every term from the four different leaders of the school house groups - Allanfearn (T1), Ashton (T2), Seafield (T3) and Stratton (T4). The leaders and MPPs were democratically voted in to their positions either through a husting presentation and vote or an in class poll.

At Duncan Forbes, we pride ourselves in our commitment to Leadership opportunities for pupils throughout the whole school. Every child from P1 - P7 is involved with a Select Committee who meet once a fortnight. The areas for Select Committees are decided in connection to our School Improvement Plan and feedback we have received through the year.

Each Select Committee has a purpose of working towards recognition in some form for the work they are doing be it a national award, a grading or an improvement within the school.
