The Friends of the Public Libraries of Cullman County is a non-profit group of citizens who believe that a good library is essential to the cultural, educational, and economic well-being of Cullman County. This is a group that helps raise funds for important programs and services offered at the library.
Members of The Friends serve in various roles to help support the library. Fundraising, coordinating events, gathering volunteers, performing outreach, and generally advocating for the success of the library are crucial functions of The Friends.
Some yearly events sponsored by The Friends are the annual Storybook Sprint 5k, a murder mystery dinner theatre, and a pumpkin painting contest.
You can use this link to find the application site. Membership dues are $25 and go toward providing support to our libraries. Members of The Friends also carry out duties such as fundraising, outreach, and event planning. Your membership fee will not be due until after you attend your first Friends' meeting.

The 2025 Murder Mystery Dinner
We celebrated the kickoff of the library Capital Campaign with a night set in the 1920s! Our Clue-themed murder mystery was a great night!
The 2025 Spooktacular Storybook 5K
We hosted a 5K to raise funds for the library's Capital Campaign. We had 12 local business partners who sponsored or volunteered for the run and 122 runners! We also held a pumpkin painting contest, costume contest, raffle drawing, and a 1-mile fun run.
