Design Animation

Course Overview

This course gives students both theory and hands on experience in computer design and related occupations. Students are provided with an opportunity to study and practice and review the Principles of Animation and Art in 2D on the computer. Animation and story development are used to illustrate the principles of animation, and to create characters, special effects, and short feature films.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

• Students will gain the skills and project-based experience needed for entry into 2D Animation and development careers.

• Students will be able to use a variety of strategies and tools to create animation projects on the computer with professional software.

• Students will develop awareness and appreciation of the myriad ways that people use animation and will be able to create standards-based artwork.
