Megan Hut (M.A., 2020) received her Ph.D. in Educational Theory and Practice at West Virginia University in May 2024, and is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at WVU during the 2024-2025 academic year.
Tommy Minkler (M.A., 2019) got his Ph.D. in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology at West Virginia University in May, 2023, where he also received an M.A. degree in Community Counseling. He has continued to be an active member of the Mindfulness & Sport Lab and served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Sport Leadership and Management Department at Miami University (OH) during the 2024-2025 academic year. He is now an Assistant Professor of Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology at California State University Fullerton.

Lab Director Carol Glass and former lab alums Keith Kaufman and Tim Pineau (Ph.D. 2008 and 2014) established the MSPE Institute, LLC in January, 2019. They provide consulting services in the field of sport performance, mindfulness, and mental skills training including classes, workshops, presentations, research consultation, MSPE training for athletic teams. Drs. Kaufman and Pineau also offer a weekly drop-in meditation group and Mindful Sport Performance podcast.
After holding four 2-day MSPE Instructor Training workshops in person 2018-2020, Keith Kaufman, Tim Pineau, and Carol Glass presented their first live virtual workshop in July 2020, and now have facilitated 11 more of these online workshops in December 2020, March 2021, July 2021, January 2022, July 2022, December 2022, March 2023, July 2023, March 2024, July 2024, and December 2024.
Keith Kaufman, Carol Glass, and Tim Pineau published a book on Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement in August, 2017, which includes the complete MSPE® protocol and serves as a comprehensive resource on the history, theory, and practice of mindfulness in sport:

Lab Alum Rokas Perskaudas (Ph.D., 2022) completed his internship during the 2020-2021 year at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ and is currently an Advanced Postdoctoral Fellow in the VA NJ Health Care System.
Lab alum Erin Mistretta (M.A., 2017) received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University and is now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington.
Lab Alum Dennis Hoyer (M.A., 2017) received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 2022.
Former lab collaborator Dr. Claire Spears is now a tenured Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at George State University in Atlanta, GA, where she recently received a five-year, $3.15 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to further develop and evaluate a text messaging program to help people quit smoking using a mindfulness intervention.
