Members of the Student Editorial Board are responsible for the production and promotion of the journal each year. The Board is comprised of the Editor-in-Chief, the Associate Editor, the Managing Editor, the Layout Editor, Head Copyeditor, Media Editors and Web Content Editors, as well as their assistants. These students have gone through a rigorous application and interview process.

Editor- in-Chief
Javier Mazariegos is a senior English and Philosophy double major, minoring in Theology. His academic interests include virtue ethics, intellectual history, and the intersection of literature and philosophy. Around campus, he is a resident assistant for upperclassmen, a writing center tutor, and the president of the philosophy club. Javi was the Salutatorian of The Heights School in Maryland. After college, he wants to continue his studies, or teach, or hopefully both.
Associate Editor
Trinity Ruiz is a sophomore Philosophy Pre-Law major with an English minor. She is particularly fond of Homeric and Dantean literature. Outside of the Inventio S.E.B., Trinity is an undergraduate writing tutor, and a leader for Cardinal Service Corps, leading a service site for adults with intellectual disabilities. During her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, spending time with friends and family, and observing where dramatic films meet philosophy/theology. After university, she hopes to attend law school, in hopes to subsequently practice Disability Law and work with policy journalism.
Managing Editor
Nicole Cicippio is a senior English major and Criminology minor from Collegeville, PA. Besides being on the S.E.B. of Inventio, she is an undergraduate tutor in the Writing Center. Nicole loves getting lost in a book, staying awake writing, the use of pathetic fallacy in literature, and a good unreliable narrator. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, and Dunkin’ coffee.
Social Media Manager
Madeleine Naleski is a senior business major with specialties in marketing and social research. She enjoys reading case studies about successful marketing endeavors, books about American social problems, and her eyelids. She is a student minister living in Engelhard Hall and she sits on the President’s Society. When she is not reading, ministering, or napping, Madeleine likes to go for runs, try new recipes, and watch Golden Girls.
Web Content Editor
Tess Rempel is a sociology major from New Jersey. Her academic interests lie in the social sciences, particularly discoveries related to philosophy, psychology and media studies. She works as a Communications Intern for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a Resident Assistant on campus. In her free time, she enjoys performing, exploring and spending time with friends.
Assistant Web Content Editor
Amanda Muscente is a senior English major with minors in Writing and Hispanic Studies from Yonkers, NY. Her academic interests include Victorian literature and she enjoys reading anything published in that period, especially Oscar Wilde. In her free time, she also enjoys writing poetry, cooking, and listening to Harry Styles. She is also a member of Vermilion Literary Magazine's staff. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a career in the publishing industry to continue to help authors share their work with others.

Carolina Beretta is a senior Psychology and Brain Sciences major with a minor in Writing. At CUA, she is part of Vermilion, CUA’s literary magazine. She enjoys the arts, and often finds herself creating whether it be writing poems or crafting jewelry. If not consumed by matters of the brain or heart, she enjoys the outdoors finding liberation in adrenaline pumping activities and travel. She is pursuing a career in nursing and aims to become a nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric health.

Brady Baylis is a graduating senior studying History with minors in Anthropology and Education with Honors in Humanities. His academic interests include the Napoleonic Wars, 1960s rock counterculture, and the relationship between Catholicism and Anglo-American governments. Outside of the classroom, he is involved in Residence Life and enjoys playing chess, watching hockey, reading, and cooking.
Head Layout Editor
Caleb Lovell is a senior Digital Art major and a French and Francophone Studies minor from Easton, Maryland. During his time at Catholic University, he has contributed his graphic design services to several student organizations on campus, as well as had artworks installed and digitally published. Aside from his studies, he also partakes in creative outlets such as songwriting and music production, as well as writing articles for the Tower. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a career in Graphic Design and continue his musical pursuits.
Digital Media Editor
Josie Ziemski is a senior Studio Art major from Maryland. Her concentration is in Digital Art and she is also pursuing a Digital Storytelling and Video Production certificate. Josie has worked as a freelance videographer and on-commision artist for over five years, while also taking on production, graphics, and design internships throughout her time at CUA. Aside from working for Inventio, she is a member of the Rome School’s Dean Advisory Board, videographer for The Washingtones, and graphic designer for a handful of clubs. In her free time she enjoys reading, binge watching 80s action movies, illustrating, and animating cartoons!
Head Copyeditor
Mary Schwartz is a senior philosophy major from Connecticut with minors in politics and business management. She is particularly interested in the place of philosophy in literature, as well as in the intersection of philosophy and theology. In her free time she enjoys creative writing, playing the clarinet, and feeding her sugar addiction. After college, she hopes to do something that involves both writing and philosophy.

Annaliese Haman is a senior Art History major, Philosophy minor, with a focus on Impressionism and Asian art. She wrote her junior thesis on the influence of Japanese prints on James McNeill Whistler and Mary Cassatt. She is President of the CUA Tang Soo Do Club and a leader in Cardinal Service Corps on campus. When she is not explaining why Middle Earth from The Lord of the Rings is the best fantasy world created, nor engaging in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with friends, she enjoys practicing calligraphy in both western and eastern styles.

Isabella Mininni is a senior English major and a Politics Pre-law minor. She enjoys a wide array of literary genres; her favorite work is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. She is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and the CUA Honor societies. She is also the Vice-President of the CUA Mock Trial team as well as an aspiring attorney. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, reading, baking, and going to amusement parks with her friends.

Clare Delmore is a senior Biology and Philosophy double major on the pre-medical track. On campus, she is a Resident Minister, the Senior Director of Executive Initiatives for SGA, a Research Assistant in Dr. Tuma’s lab, and tutors for biology. Her academic interests include developmental biology, phenomenology, and liver research. In her free time, she enjoys chatting with her friends, drinking coffee and playing guitar. After college, she hopes to enroll in medical school to become an OB/GYN.
