OBJECTIVE: To bring out the talent of the students through roleplay of the Tamil Female Cinematic and Literary characters.
OUTCOME: The students showcased their talents very well. And performed in a excellent manner.
DESCRIPTION: This event was organized by Villupaatu club for KALAKIRAN 2023. Ms. TAMILACHI is an on-stage event , the participants of this event must potray the Famous Tamil Cinematic characters with their costume and dialogues and play the role. Prelims were conducted. 11 Participants registered and participated in the prelims, 9 Participants were selected for the final round.
RULES:
Individual event
Participants have to be dressed in the character they choose.
It should portray only the Female Tamil characters. It can be either Cinematic or Literary characters.
Participants will be asked to do Rampwalk depicting the character and can give a small introduction or dialogue of the character within 2 to 3 minutes time limit.

Description:
On 15th January our villupattu club performed for Pongal Celebration Program which was telecast on Makkal TV Channel on Pongal. Totally 8 members performed for Villupattu with the instruments. We really had a good exposure among the people. Duration of the performance was 12 minutes.

Objective: To create an intellectual activity regarding the Origin, History & Practice of Villupaatu
Outcome: The students gained the knowledge about the traditional method of storytelling (i.e) Villupaatu. It also created an awareness among the students.
Description about the Event:
Villupaatu Club decided to conduct “E-QUIZ on Origin of Villupattu” through online mode. The quiz was created with google forms and links were circulated to all the students. The responses were accepted for 8 hours from (9.00AM to 5.00PM) .
The event was conducted in order to understand the knowledge of students on Villupaatu and create an awareness on South India’s ancient form of musical art of story–telling.

Description:
Villupaatu Club celebrated the Diwali with an awareness program about the Diwali celebration rules and regulations of the Government and also created an awareness on Pollution free crackers. Villupaatu was held for 6 minutes with 5 members . Villupaatu is done with the traditional instruments.
The students got knowledge about the new crackers and the rules and regulations of the Government.

On 9th September 2022 our Villupattu Club participated in an awareness program on Student Behaviour & Safety in Government Higher Secondary School, Thandalam. Totally 8 members performed the Awareness Villupattu with the instruments. The school students participated with enthusiasm bringing down the fourth wall by taking part in the performance - answering the questions along with the performers, joining in the chorus, etc..
Duration of the performance is 9 minutes. It was an enjoyable and educative performance.

The dress code was navy blue colour, totally 8 members performed in the Awareness Villupattu with the instruments. We really had a memorable time with the children there. The students answered every question & answer segment. Duration of the performance is 9 minutes. All the students over there enjoyed a lot.

The Chief Guest of the program was Dr.D Ezhilarasi, Assistant Professor, Department of Languages, who started the orientation with explaining the history of Villupaatu and explaining the importance of villupatu to the participants and members of the club.
