The Science Club of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized an Online Essay Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition to celebrate National Science Day - 2024.
Two competitions were held on 15/9/2023 with the students participating from our college and other colleges.
The main aim of these competitions was to create awareness among the students about "Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures: Celebrating Innovation on National Science Day"
Around 24 students participated in the Essay Writing Competition and 4 students for Poster Making from our college and other colleges.
The Students were judged by their Content and Originality and Relevance to the Topic.
Name of the Event:” PRAGYAAN 2023” - QUIZ and celebrating the successful launch of Chandrayaan - 3, Science Club Association & CFSD.

Objective: The Department of Computer Applications association with the Science Club of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women has organized an Inter-Departmental event named “PRAGYAAN 2023” to honor the achievement of ISRO landing on the moon's surface in the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Report:
Two competitions were held on 15/9/2023 with the students participating from various
departments of our college. The main motto of these competitions was to create awareness among the students about the achievements of ISRO in its mission to land on the Southern Pole of the moon.
Around 12 teams participated in the quiz. This quiz was conducted through various stages such as an Entry level test of 20 questions in an open forum, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3

Report:
3 teams for PPT presentation & 3 individual PPT presentations from various departments of the college were part of the competition. The PPT presentation was conducted in both the Team and Individual Mode. The Students were judged by their Content, Organization of slides and Delivery to the audience in an efficient manner.

Name of the Event: Sciencey Spiders - One Minute Science Experiment
Date: 11/10/2023 - Wednesday

Objective
This event empowered students to develop critical thinking skills and judge the credibility of scientific information effectively.
Rules and regulations :
It is a group event. Each group has two participants.
Duration: 5-10 minutes - Any simple experiment can be chosen that can be done within the duration.
Participants must give more valid information related to the experiment.
A lab report detailing how the experiment is performed, the results expected, the process used, the actual results, and a discussion of what the results mean must be written down.
Skin and eye contact with chemicals should be avoided.
Harmful chemicals are not allowed.
Students should write a report in an A4 sheet.
Students should not repeat the same experiment.
