RRC Club conducted a Student Grooming Program in collaboration with Procter & Gamble, a consumer goods company on 24-03-2022 at our college’s seminar hall. It was conducted in batches. The first batch was from 10.00 A.M to 11.00 A.M. The student count was 50 for batch 1. The Second batch was from 11.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. The student count was 50 for batch 2. The resource person spoke about women’s hygiene, empowerment, etc. They even played some videos for students. After the grooming session, they provided free product samples for everyone.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WORLD VACCINATION DAY

RRC Club conducted an awareness program on the account of “World Vaccination Day” on (16.03.2022) in T. Thomas Auditorium. It was open to all departments. Resource person, K. Mohanalakshmi has over 32 years of experience in the medical field. She spoke about different vaccines and their importance. She also spoke a lot about many diseases like polio, tuberculosis, etc. It was a mind-blowing session. It was a very informative session for everyone. Students cooperated throughout the session, actively.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON 76TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

Topic: Awareness Program based on the 76th Independence Day

Venue: St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Participants: 78 members
RRC Club volunteers (16 members) went to St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Madhavaram milk colony and did various awareness programs for 9th and 11th standard students. We gave a speech on blood donation and the importance of blood donation, and we presented a PowerPoint presentation on HIV. Our volunteers sang a Corona awareness song. We conducted a small game session for the students, and we also had an interesting quiz based on Corona and HIV.

WEBINAR ON LEPROSY ERADICATION DAY
Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women conducted an online webinar on the account of Leprosy Eradication Day on Google meet between 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm. The guest speaker of the day, Y. Isaac Arulkumar spoke a lot about Leprosy, its causes, precautions to be taken to prevent leprosy, its symptoms, etc. He even spoke on its severeness, complications, and, so on. 37 students attended this program. We learned a lot of new things about leprosy. It was a very useful session for the students.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WORLD AIDS DAY

The Red Ribbon Club of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized an Awareness program on World Aids Day, December 02, 2021, in T. Thomas Auditorium at 10 am. Around 170 students attended the program. The program commenced with a prayer song, sung by the BCA department students. The program was hosted by Ms. Aafiya. A of II B.com. G. Rehab. I of II B.Sc. Psychology welcomed the gathering.
Mrs. Sridevi, Counsellor, Kilpauk Medical College & Mrs. Vanmathi, Counsellor MMDA HP were the guest speakers for the day. Mrs. Sridevi spoke about AIDS, its causes, precautions to prevent aids, its symptoms, etc. She even spoke about its severeness, complications, and so on. There was a small game session at the end of the program. Students came forward and gave full support throughout the program with great enthusiasm. By the end of the program, every student took an oath. It was a very useful session for the students. The Program came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by Aafiya. A.

WEBINAR ON WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY
Topic: World Pneumonia Day, Significance and Objectives
Resource Person: Dr. Aruna MBBS, MD Neuropsychiatrist
Chevalier T.Thomas Elizabeth College for Women conducted an online webinar on World Pneumonia Day via Google meet, between 1.00 -2.00 P.M. Dr. Aruna MBBS, MD Neuropsychiatrist, the guest speaker of the day, spoke a lot about pneumonia, its home remedies, etc. She spoke a lot about the significance, avoidance, and objectives of pneumonia and even other diseases. 97 students attended this webinar. Students gave full support throughout the program. The Q&A session was a blockbuster. All students asked and cleared their doubts. It was a very satisfactory session for the students.

E-POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
“Awareness on World Mental Health Day” e-poster-making competition was organized by Red Ribbon Club on 10th October 2021. 16 students participated in this E-Poster making competition. The competition was conducted via Google forms. Mrs. Lavanya, Assistant Professor of Psychology, was the judge of this e-Poster making competition. The best two e-Posters were awarded e-certificates. First place was secured by Bagavathi. B of 3rd B.Sc. Computer Science and the second place was secured by Durga. S of 2nd BCA department.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON WORLD FIRST AID DAY
On the occasion of World First Aid Day, an awareness program was organized on the 29th of September 2021. The RRC Club volunteers created an awareness video and circulated it to all students through Whatsapp. Our club volunteer Prathiba. S of 3rd B.Sc. CS gave an awareness speech during the morning assembly.

WEBINAR ON WORLD ORGAN DONATION DAY
“Awareness on World Organ Donation Day” webinar was organized by Chevalier T.Thomas Elizabeth College for Women in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Ambattur on 13th August 2021 for one hour, between 5.00 PM and 6.00 PM. Dr. Arunkumar Annamalai, MBBS. (Scientist, Deep medicine labs, Chennai) was the guest speaker. He spoke a lot about the importance of donating organs. 30 students participated actively in this program throughout the session. President of Rotary Club Ambattur, Rtn. Col.Bhupinder Singh, Rtn. Dr. Winston Noronha (DIR-Community Service Health) and Rtn.Flt.Ramesh, Secretary of Rotary club, Ambattur gave small speeches. Towards the end, there was an interactive (Q & A) session. All the students felt that the session was very useful. All participants were given e-certificates.

QUIZ ON WORLD HEPATITIS DAY
RRC club conducted a quiz on World Hepatitis Day on July 28, 2021(Wednesday) via Google forms. We celebrate World Hepatitis Day on July 28th every year. Almost all countries celebrate this to enhance awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes a range of health problems, including liver cancer. Hepatitis B is a disease that affects the liver and it also sometimes takes the form of liver cancer. Loss of appetite, repeated fever, feeling tired, nausea, and vomiting are some of the initial signs of this infection. 27 students participated in this quiz.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
The RRC Club Orientation Programme was organized by Chevalier T.Thomas Elizabeth College for Women on 29 June 2021 via Google meet between 4 and 5 pm, to provide knowledge on the RRC programs and activities, organise RRC Camps and special camps, and impart comprehensive knowledge on youth development activities. The first years, second years, and third years were the members of the club, who participated in this program actively, throughout the session. We came to know a lot about AIDS, prevention of AIDS, helping people, and caring for transgender. The guest speaker was Dr.K.Preetha, Head, Department of Languages, and Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women.
