Plagiarism and use of various AI were also highlighted and discussed in this Two Day Workshop.

The Research Cell of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized a Two Day Workshop for Students on ‘Research Ideation to Publication’ on February 22 & 23, 2024. Dr.J.Arunodaya, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics was the Guest speaker on the first day and Dr. P. Sudha, Assistant Professor, Department of Corporate Secretaryship was the Guest speaker for the second day. The Two Day Workshop focused on guiding students on how to make Research Papers and small details such as citations of research papers and importance of choosing the appropriate topic were discussed. Plagiarism and AI alternatives were also highlighted and discussed in this Two Day Workshop.
Outcome:
The students learned new information about writing Research Papers, paying attention to details such as citations of research papers, understood the impact of Plagiarism and the use of AI alternatives.

Objective: To highlight the avenues that will open pathways for women to equip themselves with self-confidence, self-awareness and self-esteem needed to attain empowerment.
Outcome: Students were able to present their ideas and views on the topic ‘Empowering Women through Education, Ethics and Economic Development.

The Research Cell of Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organised a National Student Conference "Empowering Women through Education, Ethics and Economic Development" on September 13, 2023. Dr.P.J. Queency Asha Dhas, Vice Principal & Dean of Research gave the welcome address, Dr. S. Sridevi, Principal, offered her Felicitations.
Dr.B.Radha Associate Professor, Department of Mass & Media Communication, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, the keynote speaker spoke on "Critical Media Literacy and Women Empowerment". She emphasized the need for the awareness of Gender Ideologies, the role of media in impacting the women empowerment, and the social construction of gender & gender-centered approaches. She encouraged the students to explore their own fields and to take up higher studies & research at the international level.
Mrs. Francis Sheelu, State President, Tamilnadu Women’s Collective, Chennai, spoke on the topic of Women & Food Security. She briefed about the Nutrition Plan Act, of 2013, and the adverse impact of fast food & junk food on the younger generations.
Mrs. Aileen S. Marques, Advocate, Bombay High Court, spoke on the topic "Women & Sexual Harassment.". She discussed the various kinds of harassment that women undergo in their workplace, family & society. 86 research papers were presented by the students from various parts of the country and 45 research papers were selected and published with ISBN number. The best papers were recognised and awarded.
