Report: 

The selection of Theatre club coordinator for the academic year 2023 -2024 is held on July 25,  2023. Many students have sportively participated in the selection process of the theatre club. Students were very interested in the theatre club. The activities include mime, street play, mono acting, adzap, drama, etc… The candidate is selected based on good acting skills, good communication,  leadership quality and event management, as well as based on the previous year's records in the inter-collegiate competitions of the applicant.

Name of the Event : Kalakiran

Event Name: MIME 

Venue: OAT

Objective: The unit aims to develop learners’ understanding of the historical origins of mime performance, and to develop practical skills and techniques required to perform mime successfully.

Description: On August 17, 2023 the theatre club organised an event,” MIME”. The students were dressed in specific costumes- black shirts and white gloves- wearing a strong makeup base with accents for their eyes, eyebrows and mouth.

Methodology: Teaching how to fully express themselves through movements can continue to help them communicate confidently as they grow up, both in their social life and educational life.

Report:

Chainika Intercollege cultural fiesta was organised on August 18, 2023-2024. Students from various colleges participated in the inter-collegiate cultural fiesta. Mr. Robo Shankar, Actor, and standup comedian, was the Chief guest. He addressed the students with his inspiring speech on Women's Empowerment. Nearly 72 colleges and more than 100 students participated in various events. Five off-stage and nine on-stage events were conducted.

Report: 

The Diwali celebration for the academic year 2023-2024 was held on 9th November 2023. The theatre club  performed a mime and the theme was “the life of workers involved in the cracker’s factory and education”. The theatre club students enthusiastically performed mime with courage and confidence. The overwhelming performance by the theatre club students mesmerized everyone present on the EMC stage. The costumes of the students highlighted their performance in that dark evening. The costumes highlighted the moves and actions which conveyed the message easily to the audience.
