21.12.2019, SAWE Association organized a talent show “CHUTTI’S KONDATTAM” for 200 abandoned children from 6 shelter homes in Chennai.

On 22. 11. 2019, SAWE Association in collaboration with Saveetha Medical College organized a Medical camp at Siruvapuri Village, Thiruvallur District.

21.09.2019, Students participated in International Coastal Clean Up day at Elliot’s beach, Besant Nagar.

On September 20^th, 2019, Students Association for Welfare and Empowerment (SAWE) in collaboration with Caritas and Earth day Network organized a mass campaign on Reduce, Reuse; Recycle of plastic at CTTE College for women. This program focused on raising awareness on reducing plastic, reusing and recycling plastic.

The objectives of the program were,

• To give awareness on reduce, reuse and recycle.

• To give innovative tips for recycling.

• To reduce the negative impact of growing amounts of waste on the natural environment

As a part of the curriculum students of I MSW undergone Rural Camp at chinnamannur Village (Theni District). During the rural camp students went to Vembakottai, Eranampatti, Uthamapalayam, Royappanpatti, and Erasakannayakanur. All the trainees performed skit on Child Abuse and Street Play on Domestic Violence in School and Community. Trainees fundraised 32,000 as material. The trainees provided stationery items to schools as a complimentary gift and the trainees donated essential items to MMS (Magalir Munnetra Sangam).

As a part of the curriculum, the students of II MSW undergone an educational tour in the state of Bihar. They got exposure on how the Human Resource (HR), Medical and Psychiatry (M & P) and Community Development (CD) works in other states.
