FAQs: (Frequently asked questions)
Q: Who are the students who organize the Relay for Life?
A: Student Council takes the lead with the Leadership Team, but additional students are welcome to sign up. Listen to the morning announcements for details!
Q: Why does CTMS hold a Relay for Life?
A: The Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It was started in 2010 when a student wanted to help cancer patients, including her mom. As long as the students still want to participate, we will continue to sponsor this fundraiser.
Q: Is the Relay for Life a race?
A: No. It is an event that includes walking around a track. There are activities and games along the way, and some fun competitions.
Q: I signed up, but my name isn't showing up on the list of participants. Why?
A: For participants under 18 years old, the website defaults to the "private" setting. You can change this to "public" on your dashboard, or contact Ms. Cormican for help.
Q: I signed up for the wrong team. Can I change teams?
A: Yes, that is no problem! Ms. Cormican can help you with that.
Q: I noticed that some people have photos on their page. Can I do that?
A: Yes, you can personalize your page with photos and write your own message. You will have to do that on your own, and make sure that you have your parent's pemission.
Q: Do I have to pay the $15 registration fee?
A: Ask your parents if they wish to pay the fee online. (It is a donation!) OR, you can check the box that says "Pay cash" and we will raise your $15 at school.
Q: What if someone wants to write a check for a donation?
A: Great! Make the check out to the American Cancer Society. Bring it in to school and Ms. Cormican will enter it and send it in.
