The idea that learning from the past will help prepare for the future is a driving force in our classroom.  We will have engaging discussions, interactive simulations, and evidence based arguments.  As we explore the ancient world, we will develop reading, writing and research skills. We will flex our writing muscles throughout the year.  

 Grade 6 social studies is filled with learning  about classical civilizations and how they developed and expanded into empires with centralized governments.  Students will discover how civilizations developed commerce, a common culture, and social values.
