Travel Passport

Virtual Lesson

This virtual lesson will allow you to create a booklet designed to inspire you to dream and think about where you would like to travel. You can "travel" via the following link among others online. Travel

Materials Needed

Colorful paper: For the cover (optional)
1. Amount: 1
White paper: for inside pages
1. Amount: 2
Color pencils: Your choice of color
Glue stick (optional)
Markers: Colors of your choice
Stapler or tape
Scissors
Pencil and Sharpener
Extra Craft items you may have
Ruler or straight edge item

Step 1: The Cover

Get colorful paper
Fold it in half hamburger style
Fold it hamburger style one more time (to create booklet)
Optional: glue the pieces of the front and back cover that lift up

Step 2: The Inside

Get 1 of your white papers
Fold paper hamburger style
Fold once again
Repeat steps 1-3 with the second paper

Step 3: Creating the Pages

Open white pages
Cut the paper in half following the line made from folding it in half
Repeat on the next page
The Result: 4 strips of papers

Step 4: Putting the Inside Pages Together

Take the 4 pieces of white paper
Place them into 1 stack
Straighten up stack to prepare for the next step

Step 5: Creating the Passport Booklet

Place the stack of white papers inside the colored paper
Align to your liking

Step 6: Attaching the Booklet Together

Staple together (2-3 staples along the folded side to keep papers together) as needed

Step 7: Sketching Time!

Begin by using a pencil
Sketch out what you would like you passport to look like
Must indicate that it’s a passport by saying “passport” on it

Step 8:

Add numbers to the right bottom corner in the front only using your pencil first
Then use a marker to trace over the numbers
The result: 7 pages

Step 9:

Color or decorate the passport to your liking
Take your time to make it as unique as you

Step 10:

Using something with a straight edge create lines with enough room to right
The first line on each of the pages that are numbered, will be the only area that’s bigger than the rest; this will be to write the name of the place they will be learning about.
Write the names of the countries on the lines in this order: Africa, Hong Kong, Spain, Australia, China, United States, Canada
You will fill out each section with your favorite information about these countries
