General Club Membership Meetings and Events:

To be considered a Science Club member in good standing, a student is expected to attend 80% of the general club membership meetings (that is 12 out of 15 meetings).

Community service opportunities, competitions, guest speakers, and presentations for the year will be discussed. The definition of a club member (student in "good-standing") will be explained. Attendance will be taken. Come join us and find out how our year will progress.

U.S.A. Biology Olympiad Competition:

  • Registration opens October 2, 2018

  • The Open Exam will be administered February 6, 2019, during 1st period. All interested students are eligible. Please register here. Scroll to the bottom of the webpage and register under Monmouth County Academy of Allied Health and Science.

U.S.A. National Chemistry Olympiad Competition:

  • Location: Brookdale Community College, MAS building

Rutgers' Oncology Olympiad Competition:

  • About the Rutgers' Competition - http://cinj.org/Olympiad Rutgers Oncology Olympiad is an academic competition focusing on cancer diagnosis, treatment, symptoms, genetics, and healthcare specialists. The event is comprised of two rounds: an online individual qualifying test and a team tournament. Individual qualifying tests will occur online in January 2019. The online qualifying test will be available for 90 minutes from the time the registered students open the test on testing date chosen.

  • The registration fee of $45.00 is paid for by the interested student.

  • Amol Shirodkar, Jovial Joseph and James Tang have qualified to represent AAHS at Rutgers's University in New Brunswick for the Second Round of competitions on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Congratulations!!

  • James Tang - 1st place, Jovial Joseph 2nd place in the final rounds!

Promoting the School Mission:

  • Representatives for the AAHS Science Department, Information Sessions. Upperclassmen only. Dates are: Saturdays 9/29/18, 10/20/18 (9:30 am -Noon) and Thursdays 10/11/18, 11/01/18 (6:00 to 8:30 pm)

  • "Allied in Action" - Career & Technical Education Celebration - Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6 pm. due to wintery weather conditions, this event was rescheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 6 pm.
