Academic Competitions & Clubs

MathCounts (Grades 6-8)

MathCounts is a great opportunity for children who love math and problem-solving! During club time we work on interesting problems and learn tricks for solving difficult math problems. The Competition Series has 4 levels of competition—school, chapter, state and national. Each level of competition is comprised of 4 rounds—Sprint, Target, Team and Countdown Round. For more information, check out https://www.mathcounts.org/

Each year, all students can participate in the School Competition (January), 10-12 can participate in the Chapter Competition (February), and students advancing from there can participate in the State (March) and even National (April/May) competitions.

Heritage Conference Mathematics

Heritage Conference offers a variety of Academic Competitions in addition to its regularly scheduled Athletic Conference. CT Math Faculty confer with each other and the other Academic Team advisors to choose 5 students in grades 9-12 to represent our school each year.
