Welcome to Conemaugh Township School District
Hello Families and Students!
Welcome to my webpage! I am Mrs. Piskuric, and I am excited to work with you and your children this school year. I grew up in Conemaugh Township and raised my family here, so this place is very important to me. This will be my 26th year working at Conemaugh Township, and I look forward to sharing that experience with you.
My Education
I studied at the University of Pittsburgh, where I earned a BS in Elementary Education. I also attended St. Francis and received my second certification in Special Education. I attained Master’s Equivalence and later added a third certification in English as a Second Language (ESL/ELL) in September 2014. These trainings help me teach students with many different needs and backgrounds.
My Work Experience
Before teaching at Conemaugh Township, I worked in several educational settings:
St. Clement School in Westmont as a Pre-School and Pre-K teacher.
Head Start programs in Somerset and Cambria counties.
Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 Autistic Support teacher in several school districts
At CT Elementary School, I have been a Special Education teacher providing Learning Support for grades K–6 and Life Skills for K–5.
These roles helped me learn many teaching strategies. I use what I’ve learned to support students who need extra help and to create lessons that reach everyone.
What I Believe About Learning
I believe every student can grow when given clear instruction, patience, and encouragement. I plan lessons that include hands-on activities, group work, and reading and writing practice. I try to make the classroom a welcoming place where questions are encouraged, mistakes are treated as learning steps, and students feel safe to try new things.
How I Will Communicate with You
Communication is important. I will share lesson plans and homework on webpage. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Working together makes the biggest difference for your child’s success.
Looking Forward
I am excited to get to know each student and family this year. We will learn, solve problems, and celebrate progress together. Thank you for visiting my webpage. If you have any questions, please email or call me — my door is always open.
