Project Yume
Project Yume
Modern desktop game launchers are sterile and utilitarian. Players context-switch between disparate emulators and lifeless storefronts, fragmenting both their library and the experience itself. Project Yume reframes the launcher as a digital sanctuary, an offline-first, cross-platform desktop application built on a unified "Liquid Glass" design language, with a built-in web browser and note-taking surface so players never have to leave.
I'm Agam Aujla, a UI/UX Designer and Frontend Engineer wrapping up my B.S. in Communication Design. Project Yume is the culmination of my passion for retro-tech aesthetics, game design, and native desktop development. I wanted to solve the 'digital fragmentation' gamers face on PC and Mac by building an interface that felt less like a spreadsheet and more like a customized digital room. From designing the 'Liquid Glass' shaders to cracking the macOS app sandbox, Yume represents my drive to build highly technical, deeply empathetic software.
