Biography
I earned my doctorate in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of North Texas. I have been in the education field for 15 years, and during those years, I have taught at the Pre-K, elementary, and college levels. I have a strong background in social and emotional learning and experience with teaching international students. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Studies at Chicago State University.
Personal Interests
I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, photography, designing clothes and sewing, gardening, and spending time with my family and friends.
Research Interests
My primary research interests are focused on issues related to integration of social-emotional learning strategies in the teacher education programs, as well as curriculum and management in diverse early education settings.
