The origin of the word investigation is derived from the Latin word INVESTIGARE which means to trace or track.
INVESTIGATION – a patient, step-by-step (systematic), and careful (thorough) examination of something or someone.
Criminal Investigation- It is an art, which deals with the identity and location of the offender and provides evidence of his guilt in criminal proceedings.
