Digital Action Plan

Overview

The Quebec Ministry of Education launched its Digital Action Plan (Plan Numérique) in 2018. The scope of the action plan is wide-ranging and affects the entire Quebec education system.

One of the featured measures under the plan is the "Digital Technology Combos" which has provided funding to bring many new technologies into our schools under three categories:

We have created the resources on these linked pages to help you navigate these new technologies and support their use in the classroom.

The provincial RÉCIT network and CADRE21 have also developed training materials for each of the digital combos in French, you can find links to those training materials on each of the linked pages above.

LEARN Quebec

LEARN Quebec, along with our RECIT team, have developed a series of videos introducing educators to the combos.

View the first one here or check out their other resources at their website. We also suggest signing up for their free Open Creative Space days or thematic workshops to explore some of these new tools.

MEQ Digital Action Plan Documents

This action plan has three orientations:

  • to support the development of the digital skills of young people and adults;

  • to make use of digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning practices; and

  • to create an environment conducive to the development of digital technologies in the education system.

To read more about the orientations and combos of the Digital Action Plan, visit the link above. You will also find links to helpful downloadable documents.

This framework is intended to foster the digital competency development of both students and teachers. The framework is accompanied by a continuum of development and a pedagogical guide.

LEARN Quebec has developed some excellent resources to help implement this framework. View them here.
