Important Dates:
May 2nd to June 4th (C1 - Oral Interaction) During every English class, you are evaluated on your correct use of the functional language (Blue Sheet & Team Work), your participation, pronounciation, preparation (new vocabulary) and your perseverance in using English whenever possible.
May 27th (C2 - Comprehension)
May 27th (C2 - Routine Sheets - Counting = 25% of your comprehension mark)
June 4th (C3 - Writing)

PREPARATION:
During the test, you will have to answer some questions using complete sentences just as we practiced in class on the sheet "Things About Me - Practice"
Review /learn:
Question Words (Who, What, When, Where, How, etc) – Help Station p.3 in order to understand the questions to the text.
Word Order (pink sheet - to understand the order of words in a sentence)
"Things About Me - Practice" + Checklist (to understand what to check as done).
"Vocabulary Help - Things About Me" - learn the vocabulary.
"Introducing Sara" - vocabulary, comprehension of the text.

Februaruy 8, 2024 (Comprehension Test)
PREPARATION:
Review:
1. Simple Past Tense - and learn to recognize verbs in the Simple Past Tense in a text (e.g. went, did, had, worked, played, etc) on the following sheets done in class:
· MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS
· SIMPLE PAST TENSE WITH BART
· WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?
· CROSSWORD: REGULAR VERBS IN THE SIMPLE PAST (1)
· CROSSWORD: REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS IN THE SIMPLE PAST (1)
Read them to see if you understand the sentences.
During the test, you will have a text to read in the Simple Past Tense. Then, you must identify the verbs that are regular (e.g. He watched TV.) and irregular (He had breakfast at 7 AM.) and answer the questions to the text, using 1-2 words (no complete sentences are necessary). E.g. Who did he see in the garden? Answer: His brother
2. Question Words (Who, What, When, Where, How, etc) – Help Station p.3 in order to understand questions to a text
3. Pronouns (I, you, she…) (so you can understand a sentence and answer questions to a text. E.g. My dad was at home. He played with dogs. Question: Who played with dogs? Answer: My dad

November 29th (Oral Interaction)
PREPARATION:
Review/ Learn the functional language for team work. = yellow sheet (I agree. I don’t agree. etc) for an oral test. You can find it here: Functional Language Team Work.
Review the vocabulary on the sheets:
JOBS - PICTIONARY
PLACES - PICTIONARY
NUMBERS - P. 2 in Help Station & here: NUMBERS
Review the Functional Language (Blue Sheet) if you still have problems with using the language.
To clarify: Tu vas avoir une activité à faire avec ton partenaire (mini-devinettes à lire) et tu devras utiliser le langage fonctionnel (feuille donnée + Blue Sheet), donc parler en anglais pendant l’activité. Tu dois comprendre ce que tu dis et les réponses de ton partenaire (les phrases sur la feuille) pour interagir.
Tu seras évalué sur ta participation, ta compréhension du vocabulaire (places, jobs, numbers, functional language), ta prononciation et ta bonne utilisation (aux bons moments) du langage sur ces feuilles (Team Work & Blue Sheet). Tu l’as déjà pratiqué plusieurs fois dans la classe avec différentes activités, donc c’est rien de nouveau et ne devrait pas te poser des problèmes.
