TESTS IN MAY & JUNE 2024


Grade 3 (L’Arbrisseau):

Dates:

May 2nd to June 6th (C1 - Oral Interaction) During every English class, you are evaluated on your correct use of the functional  language (Blue Sheet), your participation, pronounciation, preparation (new vocabulary) and your perseverance in using English whenever possible. 

   May 29th/30th (Comprehension / Vocabulary)

   May 29th/30th (Routine Sheets - Counting 25% of your comprehension mark)

   June 4th/6th (Writing / Comprehension)

1.       Pronouns (I, you, she…) to understand a pronoun and be able to apply it.  E.g.  My dad likes dogs. ___ likes dogs.  (answer: He)   

2.       Verb “to Be” (I am, you are…) - to understand and apply in a sentence e.g. My mom __  pretty. (answer: is)

3.       Verb “to HAVE (I have, you have, she has…) - so you can understand a sentence e.g. My cousin has a white dog.

4.       Personal information, Colours & Shapes (sheet with a CAT) – e.g. Colour the star blue.           Bring your colouring pencils!

5.       Numbers : 1-100 on p. 2 in Help Station  e.g. fifteen = _____________  answer:       15_____

Writing Test

Review the same vocabulary as for the comprehension test and especially the sheets in your binder:

·         “Who Are They?”,         Read "Who Are They?" here               Listen to "Who Are They?" here

·         Personal information (name, grade, age on the sheet with a CAT) &

·         “Practice Questions (Who, what, where..) ”

·         Actions (1) p.7 in Help Station

 so you can understand the vocabulary in a text in order to change it to give some information about you.  

You will have to read a shortntext and replace some underlined words with some information about you. Then, you'll have to rewrite the text including that information.  

   For example:  My name is Anne and I'm 11 years old. My mother's name is Jane and my father's name is John.

3. Numbers - from 1 to 50, to understand and pronounce (p. 2 in Help Station)

4. School Things – on p. 6 in Help Station, to understand and pronounce.

5. Blue Sheet (Functional Language)only circled sentences (to pronounce, understand what they mean and when to use them )
