The goal of this page is to give practical ideas and resources to be immediately implemented by the everyday ESL teacher.
Are you truly engaging your students? Do they feel seen in your class? The best way to know is by asking for their feedback!
Students are the heart of every classroom, and their voices matter. By collecting their feedback, you're not just evaluating your teaching methods, but also fostering a culture of open communication and growth.

Everyone feels stressed when it is exam time. Offer your students some encouragement with these little messages. On the day of the exam, I take an extra couple of minutes and place them on the empty desks. These are editable so you can switch out my bitmoji with yours. I print them 4 to a page and just cut them up. Click on the image to grab the printable.
If you are like me, you like to take stock of what worked and didn't work this year and what you want to try next year. As you wind down the year, you also like to ensure you haven't missed anything. This checklist helps you stay organized right til the end of the year. Click on the image to grab the handout.

Sometimes our students need quiet spaces to concentrate and create. Café mode is a fun classroom management technique that gives your class a bit of quiet space in what can be an otherwise noisy (albeit productive) place of work.
Click on the image to the left to grab yourself a copy. The bitmoji is removable so you can put yourself in the café with your favourite beverage.
By now you have most likely seen the green and yellow squares popping up on your social media feeds as people celebrate their successes. Perhaps you are as hooked as I am on Wordle. I am loving this game and thinking of more ways to bring it into the classroom.
It is a great way to encourage critical thinking as students work out the possibilities on scrap paper or to review vocabulary.
If you need a paper option and do it as a whole-class activity, click on the image to the left and grab yourself a copy.
